As Easy As Asking Your Neighbor For A Lift
Many people avoid public transportation because they believe it's inconvenient
or too complicated. We try our best to eliminate both of those reasons.
In fact, we believe you'll find Dial-A-Ride to be one of the easiest
forms of transportation available--as easy as calling a friend for a
ride (maybe easier). There are just three things we need to know when
you call:
- Where you want to be picked up.
- Where you want to go.
- When you want to go.
Pretty easy, right?
So give us a call today and see how easy it really is. You may never
drive your car again!
You have several options when setting up a ride.
You can call when you're ready to go or schedule
your ride up to a week in advance. If you have an appointment you should
plan on calling at least two hours ahead of time. If you want
to go immediately we can usually get you picked up within 15 or 20 minutes
and dropped off within in 5 or 10 minutes. If you want to ride at a
later time, we will give you a pick-up time "window" of 15 minutes
in order to schedule our rides properly. For example, you call
in the morning for a ride at 1:45; we would schedule you to be picked
up between 1:45-2:00. If you have an appointment; in order to guarantee
getting you there on time we need to schedule your pick-up 15 to 30
minutes ahead. For example, your appointment is at 2:00; we would schedule
your pick-up at 1:30-45. We can certainly pick you up closer to your
appointment time but please be aware that we can't guarantee getting you
there on time.
If you need a return ride you can either call when you are ready or set
the ride up in advance when you make your initial call. We will be
there to pick you up when you're done with your errand.
One of the nicest features of our service is that you can schedule
your ride on a permanent basis. For example, you have a weekly appointment
to get your hair done or you need your child taken to school each day.
We will enter your information in our database and each day or each
week the bus will show up at the appointed time without your needing
to call. If you choose this option your only responsibility is
notify us ahead of time if your appointment is changed or canceled.

In order to provide all our customers the best possible service there
are a few things you should be aware of. . .
- Please be ready when we arrive. In order to stay on schedule the
driver can only wait 1 minute at any boarding location. The driver
will sound the horn when the bus arrives and as a courtesy, we try
to call if there is no response but this is not always possible.
- We do not board "flag downs." All rides must be arranged
ahead of time in order to properly route the bus and maintain on-time
service. So the driver will ask you to call for a ride if, for example,
we are picking up other customers at the grocery store and you ask
to board the bus without having called ahead to schedule a ride.
- If you miss your ride you will need to call and reschedule it.
